To Write Or Not To Write
Haven't been writing for so long it almost feels alien to be typing away now.
Partly because it is now exam time and my life is far from being cool and exciting, partly it is because there is so much on my mind words just will not suffice.
It amazes me how some people can always be so va-va-vroom in their lives. At least they make it sounds so. Some bloggers , for example Xiaxue has a readership almost amounting to a cult, with her blog aptly entitled:"Why Are u Worshipping the Ground I Blog On?" She knows she is popular, and literally drowns gloatingly in her alleged fame to the point of upholding herself to be a goddess or something. Sometimes abuses it even. And her life seems Larger Than Life , with her getting exclusive invitations to fashion shows , and taking photos with celebrities dah dee da. Woah, she is every gal's wannabe.
Her blog is so popular simply because it is brimming with garish, racy details about her life. Sex sells. Pink sells too. And of course, she gets a few dozens " hairy nipples on a monkey" (her euphemism for 'comments') everyday and friendster invitations threatening to blow up her mailbox. Wahhh...Xiaxue my idollll....!
Haha, I am just awed by the extent at which some people crave for attention and go all cost to achieve it. That they can disclose so much sordid details about their lives to the the entire world! Isn't it tiring having to entertain ur readers everyday? Being popular is easy, maintainin it is the toughest part. Readers are ravenous animals, the more u disclose, the more voyeuristic they become, and they demand more. So u have to keep finding more and more potent informations to satiate their appetite, or else ur popularity will be at stake and u dun get that many hairy nipples on ur damn monkey and it may just be normal with only two.
I can never do that. To be so opened about my personal life, not like alot of people will be interested in it anyway, hee. It is almost like performing striptease in public. As often as i blog, there are certain things which I am less willing to share than others. Some people would declare their undying love and everlasting vows to their boyfriends/ girlfriends in blogs and show pictures of the two of them lovey-dovey with cheesy captions attached to them. That I will never do. Yes, we know u two are very much in love but the mere sight of u two give us diabetes. It's ok to write about WHAT u did, but please spare us the starry-eyes and glucose-saturated gibberish.To me, a relationship is between two persons and let it be so. There's no need for witnesses or is there one to prove anything by saying it OUT LOUD TO THE WORLD. Moreover it is to show respect to the other person to keep it private.
Actually the more there is in my head, the less able I am to write anything at all. Words are just too empty at times.
Guess there isn't much in my head now, since I have written this much. :P
