When 3 Is A Crowd
No more dong dong chiang, time to HEE HA, WHAM,VROOMMM!....to the mode of a Duracell Bunny to focus 100% on work again.
Past one week at home had been about food, family and explosives ( haha, firecrackers that managed to summon 3 policemen to come to our neighbourhood), all was good...and now it is time to revert back into a thinking human being after having been one that lived to eat for the past week.
To think that yesterday morning I was still lying on the couch reading newspapers at home and now here I am back in hall mugging. As we are all well aware that it was Valentine's Day yesterday thanks to crass commercialism that goes with it, yesterday's paper has one article that featured Prince Charles and his long-time love interest Camilla Parker Bowles are finally engaged and will be married in April. Camilla was shown brandishing the much coveted royal engagement ring with pure triumphant relish on her face that almost said:"Yes, i finally got my man!"
Almost 8 years since Princess Diana's death, maybe Prince Charles and Camilla figure by now all the ripples of controversy of her death, outrage and sympathy that take her side have finally ceased and they can now tie the knot without soliciting much opposition.
Princess Diana told the press about how Camilla has always been there as a 'friend' to Prince Charles as long as she remembered, always appearing at hunting trips and social events, her presence became so intrusive that it was blantantly obvious that Camilla was more than just a 'friend'. Princess Diana was quoted as saying:" there are 3 of us in this marriage, so it gets a bit crowded."
That brings to the current experience of a close friend now trapped in 3-persons-relationahip, she is the late comer, not knowing that her 'boyfriend ' had been with someone else for a long time all these while. After all was revealed, instead of the normal reaction of getting upset with the other gal, they became friends, which serves to make things even more complicated.
People would usually brand the late comer as a relationship wrecker, even worse, a slut, but in reality, alot of times she is not exactly at fault. It the region where heart rules, there is no right or wrong, only what u feel or not feel. Many would see Camilla as a marriage intruder but if Prince Charles had not had the intentions to reciprocate her feelings she wouldn't have achieved her aims. In my friend's case, she was in fact dragged into the whirpool unknowingly, all thanks to that guy who is currently very confused. It takes two hands to clap and not all late comers are sly, scheming "fox spirits" who mesmerise the guys they want using supernatural spells.
If one day someone ever enters the relationship I am having with a guy and if he truly likes her, she can have him. I will be upset, I will cry buckets in my own solitude but I will definitely let him go and walk away. For I don't see how I can enjoy possessing things which are not intended to be mine in the first place. What is the use of putting a rein on a wild horse that cannot be tamed; knowing that its will to escape from the noose will one day break the rein itself?
